Trip Overview

Home to gastronomic delicacies like Barolo and Barbaresco wines and the prized white truffle, Piedmont is considered to be the gold standard for culinary excellence in Italy. Amongst hazelnut groves and vineyards, with sweeping views of the countryside is where our trip begins.

From the foothills of the Alps, we'll head south to the region of Liguria, where the stunning coastline of the Italian Riviera awaits. We'll stay in one of our favorite small fishing villages, dotted with colorful houses perched on impossibly steep cliffs. Liguria is the land of pesto and focaccia, which pair perfectly with the region's jaw-dropping sea views.

Then we'll head east, into Emilia Romagna, a region known for its riches, both culinary and monetary, including Proscuitto di Parma, Aceto Balsamico, and of course, Parmiggiano Reggiano. Home here is a 16th century villa, with an onsite Balsamic acetaia and winery.

Finally, we end in the Veneto countryside, where an aristocratic Venetian villa on the Brenta River is the perfect setting for our grande finale,
