Villa Franceschi

VILLA FRANCESCHI is owned and operated by brothers Alessandro and Dario Dal Corso, whose family name is synonymous with refined hospitality. The 16th century Villa Franceschi is located in the town of Mira Porte, right on the Brenta River, which is considered an extension of Venice's Grand Canal. One of a string of 15th and 16th century villas built along the Brenta by the noble families of Venice, Villa Franceschi displays all the elements of a Venetian style home, with one facade facing the river, the other the spacious park out back with its beautiful gardens and antique statuary. Thus, almost all the rooms, whether in the villa itself or its adjacent Barchessa (original servants' quarters) feature one of these two views. Many of the ground floor rooms have their own independent enties right into the gardens as well.

In its entirety, the hotel exudes an old-world elegance underlain with the best in modern-day amenities. Rooms are spacious and decorated with antique tapestries, linens, period furniture, and Murano glass chandeliers. Public rooms like the reception hall, sitting room, and the bar/lounge are the epitome of stylish elegance and comfort. Although one can easily spend days on-site exploring the natural and manmade beauty of this property, it also makes the perfect home base from which to explore the Brenta and its other villas, and Venice is only about thirty minutes away by bus or ferry. The onsite Restaurant Margherita is a truly memorable experience in fine Venetian dining,  showcasing the best culniary traditions and wine of the Veneto region. Dinner here is not to be missed; the wine list is extensive, and the service is impeccable.
