Parkhotel Sole Paradiso

PARKHOTEL SOLE PARADISO will capture your heart with its South Tyrolian charm and gracious hospitality, trademarks of the Ortner family’s ownership for over four generations. Tucked into a scenic meadow and surrounded by woods and the towering Baranci peaks of the Dolomites, this historic property is an outdoor lover’s dream. Adding to the appeal is a wellness center and gym, top-notch restaurant, two acres of private lawns and gardens, as well as proximity to the town of San Candido, itself a popular vacation destination that is only a ten-minute walk from the hotel. Built in the distinctive Alpine style of the region, the exterior is postcard-pretty, while the interior features inlaid hardwood floors along with décor and furnishings from the late 19th century, the 1920s, and the modern era. The rooms and apartments reflect this unique combination of styles, and the result is light and bright while also comfortable and cozy.

The hotel’s locale couldn’t be more ideal for skiers, who only have to step outside to access 70 miles of cross-country slopes or take a quick trip via public transport to several notable ski areas. Winter also means ski races, excursions on horse-drawn sleds, ice skating, and curling. During the summer, explore winding woodland paths and lush meadows, or hike, bike, and climb the Baranci peaks. There’s plenty to do onsite as well. Enjoy a rousing game of bocce, ping-pong, calcetto (table football), giant chess (summer only), or pool, while the kids play in their own special playroom and park. There is even an agility park for dogs, which are welcome guests as well. Soothe your muscles and recharge your energy at the onsite spa and wellness center, where you can swim in the heated indoor pool, soak in a sauna or Turkish bath, enjoy a Kneipp Parcours on pebbles (summer only), or book a rejuvenating massage. Chef Andreas Bachmann creates a delightful dinner experience with exceptional regional and international dishes using fresh ingredients and natural flavors.
